2018-2020 FXLR DUAL DISC WHEEL MOD
2018-2020 Harley Davidson FXLR Low Rider was plagued with the single disc woes on the new softail platform from day one. The MoCo dropped the standard dual disc that was standard on the beloved '17 and prior 49mm DYNA. As the new softail platform gained traction in the performance HD crowd, shops started developing ways around the lack of stopping power on the OEM setup. At DDP we developed a method to use the OEM FXLR 9 spoke wheel to add dual disc capabilities to your motorcycle without having to use previous generation DYNA wheels. Buying a new wheel is costly, as well as the extra components needed to complete the conversion. Our wheel mod machining service is done on a CNC mill, and has been thoroughly tested via the ever instafamous FXLRT built by yours truly, DDP. We have logged over a thousand miles and inspected for any abnormalities in the modified side of the wheel. Everything in regards to the modded side of the wheel has checked out 100 percent with no issues and runout of the rotor is better than the OEM side.

If you want to use OEM parts you will need the following:
*FXDL 49MM DUAL DISC FORK SLIDERS
*18/19 FAT BOB MASTER CYLINDER
*18/19 FAT BOB EXHUAST SIDE CALIPER
*Rotor of your choice. OEM or upgrade
*49mm Dyna Axle
*STOCK FXLR WHEEL SPACERS WILL WORK but wheel centerline needs to be verified by a qualified professional.
You can use aftermarket parts as well if desired.
This modification has went through extensive R&D and has been thrash tested by DDP.
-Upon ordering this service you will receive a return shipping kit provided by us to ship the wheel in for machining. The kit will have all necessary items and instructions to prepare you wheel for safe travels with no damage.
-Return shipping to DDP is paid by the customer. You are responsible for the shipping cost and insurance cost on the item. We recommend shipping USPS retail ground.
-Wheels sent in must have tire dismounted, and bearings removed. If you send in the wheel with bearings, we will bill you to remove them and will not ship the wheel back to you until the labor is paid.
-ARP Stainless rotor hardware is supplied with the wheel. Powder coated wheels will be damaged during modification and will need to be powder coated again. The wheel machining process will chip off existing powder coating.
